Patrick Bruinsma is the IBM Software Technical Leader for the ASEAN market, where heleads a team specializing in IBM’s Data and AI, Sustainability, Automation, and Security portfolios. In this role, Patrick and his team work closely with clients and business partners to support their digital transformation eForts, with a particular emphasis on hybrid cloud and AI solutions.
 

With 26 years of technical experience, Patrick, originally from the Netherlands, has spentthe past decade working in the ASEAN region. He is recognized for his extensive knowledge in large-scale enterprise computing, with a focus on cybersecurity, hybrid cloud strategies, workload modernization, and architectural methodologies. His expertise extends to various database systems, transactional processing frameworks, and middleware, with a notable specialization in IBM Z environments.

Patrick's professional contributions include authoring Redbooks, speaking at industryconferences, and teaching at institutions such as ITE, Temasek Polytechnic, and Singapore Management University. His work reflects a deep commitment to advancing technology and sharing knowledge within the field.

John Mah
Client Technical Specialist, IBM Software Networking - Asia Pacific

John Mah has been with SevOne since 2014 before IBM acquisition. He is now responsible for Software Networking solutions that Secure, Application aware connectivity of Hybrid Cloud and Multi-cloud environments, Automation using AI/ML and Observability in complex infrastructure environments for Enterprise and Service Provider customers.

Prior to joining SevOne he was attached to various technology company holding different position such as Solutions Architect and Senior Systems Consultant supporting major enterprise and communication service provider in the region. He was working with Cisco, VMware and Novell prior to joining SevOne as Senior Systems Engineer for Asia Pacific region.

As part of his scope of work, he services customers across the region, being involved in setting–up Proof of Concept labs and conducting Discovery Workshops for potential and existing customers. Besides that, he is also involved in designing ,delivering solutions presentations and demonstrations. Conduct regional roadshows, training sessions, conferences, and technology updates.

With more than 25 years’ experience as a technical sales professional, John is experienced with design & implementation of large enterprise and tele-communication networks. He is well-trained in Novell Net Business Solutions, Volera Excelerator, Xyplex, IBM and 3Com networking solutions, PlateSpin, SuSE Linux, Zenworks Orchestrator and Certified VMware Professional.

Mr. Alan Seetho is a Senior Technical Specialist, driving solutions under IBM IT Automation portfolio covering the ASEAN region. Alan has experience in areas of system architecture, service management, observability, automation  and project management. With 20 years in both public and private sectors. Before joining IBM, he was a Practice Lead in Service Management, Observability and Automation delivered projects for Govtech and other ministries.
